Micron Technology CEO Steve Appleton Dies in Airplane Crash

By msnbc.com staff and wire Updated at 7:45 p.m. ETSteve Appleton, chairman and CEO of Micron Technology, has died in the crash of a small plane in Boise, Idaho, the company said Friday.

APPLETON — Appleton police Capt. Todd Olm, former Northern District commander, will take over as deputy chief of operations on Monday. Police Chief Pete Helein selected Olm, 47, for the job on Friday, after a week of interviews.

WILLMAR — Jovan Michael Riley, 20, of Appleton, made his first court appearance Friday on felony charges of possession of a weapon by a felon and receiving stolen property for allegedly using a shotgun to damage a stolen vehicle.
